Always depends on how much time you have doesn't it From more experience of Stavanger .. The city it's self is worth exploring the centre all though only small it is unique. this week Wednesday til Saturday it is hosting the 2nd race of the Tall Ships race that will be spectacular. if your fit then a climb upto Prekestolen is worth the 2 hour hike. if not so fit you can catch a ferry in Stavanger and do the Fjord trip which goes under Prekestolen the guides on board are good and scenery breathtaking. Catch the ferry from Stavanger to Bergen much better than driving ..... Also consider taking the train to or from Oslo to Stavanger better than flying .. Obviously only if you have time on your side about 7 years ago

Hello Ian. Thanks. Well, I go 8 days to norway and i'll have a car there. Starting in Oslo, Geirangerfjorf, Bergen, Staveger, etc. I'll go to Preikestolen to the top. But I think from Stavenge I have to take the ferry, right? Or I'll go by car to Preikstolen? about 7 years ago

Hei hei .. Yes you can drive your car from Stavanger to Prekestolen and catch either the ferry from Stavanger to Tou from memory it's about 30 minutes on the ferry But I would probably recommend drive to Lauvik 40 mins from Stavanger catch the ferry to Oanes 10mins and drive from there to Prekestolen on your way home drive to Tou and catch the Ferry back to Stavanger make sure you have plenty water and good strong pair of walking shoes :) either direction alternative time is about the same. about 7 years ago
