I've never really traveled before and have a low budget, I'm okay with living cheaply, I just want to experience as much as possible.

How long do you have? Anywhere in particular you want to go? What time of year are you going? Are you more into beaches, parties, art, adventure sports, history ?

I would first work out the places you don't want to miss... like for me in Europe, it would be Portugal, San Sebastian/ Barcelona in Spain, Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro and Greece. This is in part because I love being by the beach in an open fun party culture. Obviously this is not ideal if travelling in winter.

    For hostels/backpackers, check out hostelworld.com / hostelbookers.com

When travelling between places check all options - train, bus, plane... suprisingly planes can sometimes be cheapest these days, but then if you get an overnight train/bus you save on paying for that nights accommodation. etc etc etc. over 3 years ago
