I'm thinking of bagpacking through a couple of countries in Europe for about a month, Do you thinking going it solo would be more rewarding?
I plan to go to Netherlands,France, switzerland and italy.
Will just do something like a hop on and hop off system at whichever place I like on the map..main mode of travel is of course the fantastic trains
Probably will take a that eurailpass
I've been backpacking through Europe and I'm not sure I would have done it by myself. It helped having someone else there when you're freaking out over some train/hostel/price problem. We did meet some people who were doing it solo though and they were having a blast. I guess it's a toss up between knowing you'll always have companionship vs always being able to do whatever you want. over 6 years ago
The beauty of going solo, is you get to choose when you want the company of other travelers as you will meet them all along the way and some will want to team up for some legs of the trip. So you get the best of both, company and laughs when you want them, autonomy and control over the when and where when you don't. over 6 years ago
