    Hi - the overnight sleeper train is US$80. If you book early and for some flights (that is some departure times) you could pick up a good deal for around US$ 85 - 90 or a fully flexible fare for around US$115 - 120. All that is one way, Cairo to Luxor and may vary dependent on when you want to travel :-)

    Although officially the day trains are not supposed to be available for tourists I do know that some people simply get on and pay the conductor without any drama (at least that I've heard)

    Don't expect the lap of luxury on the train. The cabins are small & functional rather than luxurious. If you're expecting the Orient Express, forget it. about 9 years ago
