    It is not as bad as it was shown on TV. I would say it is safe, the good thing is that you are in a group. Being a bit careful has not harmed anybody. You are going to do fine. about 6 years ago

    I would make sure there's no obvios sign of American flags or logos of highly identifiably American companies on your clothing. Stay well away from the Embassy. Be really careful about where and when you go in Tahrir Square. Stick with the group, follow the advice of the tour leader and check the news regularly.
    Having said that I doubt you'll find any evidence of the protests at the tourist sites.

    Tourists are welcomed at any part of egypt. There is no problems at all and protests took 2 days and the are over. about 6 years ago
