Maadi is a nice residential place in the suburbs of Cairo. It is quiet and lots of shops and shopping places are easily accessible. But it is not near Down Town Cairo. I would recommended if you would like a place with easy accessibility to all parts of Cairo is Zamalek which is as well a high end living place with embassies and many shopping facilitates. You would expect in Maadi and Zamalek that the prices for the residential places to be higher than in any part in Cairo, as well as prices for vegetables and fruits.

Dokki is another good place if you would like a centrally located area in Cairo, with lots of accommodation facilities.

I would recommend for you Mohandseen area it is a lively place with almost all shops and stores you can imagine, supermarkets at every corner. But mind you this this a bustling district and it is very hard to find a parking lot for your car. At rush hours you can take a long time to move from one place to another. over 6 years ago

Like everyone else is saying- Maadi. There are lots of Westerners there because of the embassies and international schools. It also has a very nice vibe about it. over 6 years ago

Thanks to everyone for your feedback. I'm here now to meet our customer and realized those areas will not be an option for me. I think I will be best living near the pyramids. Any contacts you'd recommend? over 6 years ago
