Luxor and Aswan is safe so there will be no problem in having a Nile Cruise. Many tourists are now in Luxor and Aswan and although there are some clashes in down town Cairo the tourists do not feel it as it is centered only in Tahrir square, and people of Cairo practice their normal lives and daily activities. almost 9 years ago

No problem on taking a Nile Cruise, and Luxor and Aswan are totally far away from all the demonstrations in Cairo. They are far upper Egypt. almost 9 years ago

Hi. We were there in July this year. The people were welcoming and friendly (when they weren't trying to sell us things!). We were told there would be a demonstration in Aswan after Friday prayers and we shouldn't go into the town. We didn't go and there was no problem. Other than that, we felt perfectly safe. I wrote a book about the whole wonderful experience. It contains a daily journal, tips, menus, histories of the temples and descriptions of the excursions. If you are interested, please see www.anileadventure.eu. I hope you have a wonderful, safe time. almost 9 years ago
