It depends on your vacation style. Quito has many accomodation places in any of its three sections: North, Center or South. To summarize this, I can say that the North has beautiful restaurants, 5 star hotels and lot of fun at the Mariscal Zone. The Center has beautiful boutique hotels erected right inside the historical center... it is a beautiful place to stay. The south is all about nature, right from there you can go to many natural parcs located right in the beginning on the avenue of volcanoes.
I also recommend you to read http://www.ecuadoralacarte.com/ It is the best article database of the four worlds of Ecuador and you can search the articles by region and go to The Andes Region. over 10 years ago

Amigo, i recommend a cheapie - the Hotel Viena International in the old town. Location is great, room was comfy 1-2 star standard, friendly staff and about US$21 for a single from memory. I was there in April 2010. I realise that you are looking for something a bit more upmarket but this lovely old place was very clean and Quito is so vibrant i was hardly ever in my room. about 10 years ago

So many great options. When I stay, I use Lugano Suites. Apartment style rooms for a great rate. And the neighbourhood is very safe with the Carolina park right nearby. They have a fantastic rooftop deck with a grill you can use. over 9 years ago

Depends on the style cuz you could say in a nice hotel tipi al ones like marriott or a hilton but if you want more of an experience you can go to la plaza Foch and like find small comfortable hotels centered in the city Quito has a lot of places depends like the place where you stay is not. Prob cuz it's such a incredible city that you'll not be much of the time staying in the hotel you can find cheap hotels that are like really pretty you'll love Quito like I felt in love since I landed in Quito international airport, much of a crowd and stuff but off I wanna go and live there about 9 years ago
