I did a land-based trip and loved it. You get the best of both worlds. Snorkeling, boating, hiking and the comfort of sleeping & eating in small lodges, hotels & restaurants.
Take a look at www.adiosadventuretravel.com website for more details. over 8 years agoAnswered by jacquiewhitt viaWorldNomads.com

I had a great time last year on the Galápagos Islands with a tour operator from Quito. I booked one of their cruises, but if you want to be more idependent book a flight from Quito (they are not that expensive) and look for land tours!
The tour operator is called Gulliver Expeditions: http://www.gulliver.com.ec/index.php/About-Galapagos/ over 8 years agoAnswered by Eva P viaWorldNomads.com
