I researched that during October, the Dominican Republic sees about six inches of rain. In addition, October is the least popular because of heavy rains from the annual Caribbean hurricane season.

Mexico, the rainy season runs from May through October, while the dry season is November through April. Also, Hurricane season in Cancun runs from July through November, with September and October being the most likely months for a hurricane event. Another site said: “There are two rainy seasons from May through to June and then October through to December.”

Help! What’s the lesser of two evils or is my research wrong all together?

Thanks so much!

Mexico is fine, just use common sense. I just came back from 8 days in Cozumel and it was wonderful. Pacific coast is more of a problem, but not good snorkeling there from what I have seen weather wise , I would do Mexico in
