I've read the area around the main train station can be dicey. Should I have any concerns about walking to my Old Town hotel from there?

There is virtually no violent crime at all in CZ. You should mind your belongings because pickpockets are an overstated, but real concern. Other than that, I would never hesitate to have my wife alone there at night. Even things that may look a little dicey, aren't. almost 7 years ago

Hi there. Prague is the one of the safest capitals in Europe, take care as you normaly do and you dont need to be worry. Walking from the Main Train station to the Old Town Square is about 15-20 minutes, you will pass Wenceslaw square, the main square of the city and there is a lot of police cctv´s and police units, so in 99% you need to be worry. Enjoy your trip :) over 6 years ago
