I realise this question is very old but since its been viewed so many times it still seems like people would like an answer. If thats not how it works here, please let me know :)

Vinales has probably the most casas of any town in Cuba. I would say maybe half of the houses is a casa particular and those that are not booked yet will come to meet you at the busstop. My advice would be to pick one thats a bit further away from the main street, just because it's so nice to enjoy the views, rock a chair on a porch and hang out with the locals.

There is no train to Vinales but there are Viazul buses 4 times a day for 12CUC. about 5 years ago

    • You're right Sarah. I'm travelling to Cuba in few days and your tips are very helpfull. I've already reserved a casa particular in Vinales for a little stay of 4 days. Have you visit Cayo Levisa or Cayo Jutias when you were there? Is it easy to make the arrangements when we arrive Vinales? GLORIA VILAS BOAS almost 5 years ago
