When I recently bought WorldNomads insurance (as a Canadian) the contract specifically said Cuba was not covered. But it might be different for other nationalities. about 5 years ago

    Hi Luigi,

    Katrina from WorldNomads.com here.

The short answer is: it depends on your country of residence.

TravelEater is correct, it is not possible for a Canadian or USA resident to buy one of our policies to travel in, to or through Cuba. Our North American insurer, Travel Guard is not able to provide cover for Cuba through the plans we offer, due to the international embargo.

Residents of all other countries are able to travel to Cuba on the plans we offer (except Cubans travelling at home or abroad). Just be sure that you read your policy wording carefully for any conditions or exclusions on the policy you choose, particularly if there are any travel warnings in place.

If you have further questions regarding cover, please talk to our service team. They're always happy to help answer you question once they know your country of residence - http://worldnomads.com/contactus.aspx
