    Montezuma is a must see. Our favourite place in Costa Rica.

    Montezuma is a requirement, IMHO. It's a great little town, a 130 foot waterfall within walking distance (walking upstream and on paths). And a few more waterfalls if you want to hike 2 hours on the beach or climbing about the 130 foot one (path up the back side).

    Everyone is nice, they've got nice people and a great atmosphere. I've been there 10(?) times and three of those in the last nine months...

    Make sure to get to Monteverde/Santa Elena. Stay with the incredibly nice people at Pension Santa Elena. The hostel runs great, cheap tours to go zip lining in the cloud forests and get up into the coffee plantations. about 7 years ago
