I absolutely loved Chan Chich Lodge...I went there after seeing it listed in 1,000 Places to See Before You Die. Here's a blog with the details...

Lapa Rios is a great place to stay. About 25 private cabins, five star service. You have to book early and in advance. They take great care in making sure the children are entertained at meal times allowing the parents to enjoy their meals in quiet. about 7 years ago

Lapa ríos is incredibly overpriced, but a great location... I would recommend cabins Jimenez in puerto Jimenez. From there it is pretty easy to get to Corcovado and it's on the golfo dulce... You might also want to check out matapalo but puerto Jimenez is more affordable and nice! about 7 years ago

I am a 20 year resident of the OSA peninsula and a hotel owner. Without a doubt the most impressive lodge when all things are taken into consideration is Bosque del Cabo, located at the southern tip of the peninsula at Matapalo. Nothing comes close and Phil and Kim the owners are wonderful. ENJOY!! about 7 years ago
