Avoiding the large all-inclusives, where is a good place to stay in Guanacaste which is within 30m of the airport?
Availability of vegetarian food and yoga preferred. Open to self-catering or smaller hotels. We loved the idea of the Ylang Ylang resort in Montezuma but this would require 5 flights (incl. 1 local flight) from where we live in Canada and 1 cab ride which is putting us off as we only have 7 days.

Late answer, but for what it's worth...
Montezuma does require quite a few legs of travel to get to (land in LIR or SJO, small play to nearby airport, taxi or car....).
You might prefer to landed at LIR, rent a car, and head to one of the many areas within 40-50 min of the airport. Playa Grande would be my favorite, Flamingo would be great, or any of the other smaller beach side towns. You'll find the food and yoga you want. about 7 years agoAnswered by Comstock viaWorldNomads.com
