Bogota or Medelin?

about 1 year ago about Bogota, Colombia

Based on a really helpful answer I will definitely be going to Colombia and specifically Cartagena for 4 days. I was initially planning on doing 3 days in Bogota as well but after looking at info on the Internet I'm wondering if Medelin would be better for the 3 days? Wish I could do both but only have so much time. It is unlikely that I will revisit Colombia in the future so what would you think would be the best option of Bogota and Medelin ?

Both! And if you want to go to Panama without flying and in the cheapest way possible, here is a link: http://www.outofyourcomfortzone.net/how-to-get-from-colombia-cartagena-to-panama-the-capital-city-for-less-than-150-dollars/ about 1 year ago

Haven't been to Medelin, but was in Bogota a year ago. Awesome city. Sooo much history, great food (and coffee), warm people, and spectacular views.

If you are looking for a guided tour, I highly recommend going with Gate One. They have the best deals by far and their guides are the most knowledgeable and professional. 12 months ago

Bogotá for sure. History, great restaurants, and mild weather. A very exciting city. Just always be aware of your surroundings and either speak Spanish or have someone with you that does. Don't forget an umbrella! 12 months ago
