In Santa Marta I would recommend you to rent an apartment. They are cheap (around 100.000 pro day) and they are for many people, if you travel with family. You can rent them directly when you arrive, in "El Rodadero" zone. The building "Dinners" is a good choice, and you will get a view to the sea. over 8 years ago

The dreamer is a very nice hostel in Santa Marta. Many travelers decide to stay in Taganga instead of Santa Marta (it's a neighboring town). If you do, La Masia Summer Hostel is nice, social, and cheap. In Cartagena, I stayed at the Media Luna hostel and loved it. It's a cheap backpackers hostel and lots of fun! over 7 years ago
