Going to Tibet in Feb 2012

over 6 years ago about Tibet, China

My group plan to visit Tibet next Feb 2012, knowing it's winter time. Anyone had experience can share with us, regarding the permits, landscape and life on the plateau.

Thank you :)

How many days do you have?

I think it would be better to have a trip for around 10 days, so you can spend for a few days in Lhasa for sightseeing and acclimatization, then head to Tsetang and Everest Base Camp. over 6 years ago

    Hi Pazu,

Thank you for checking my question. Indeed I would have about 8 days, and plan to start from Sat 18/2 till Sun 26/2. We eventually went to Tibet during summer before but never make it in winter and truly want to try out.

It appears that you are operating tours inside Lhasa, will you be able to organize it for us? We look forward to roam Lhasa and around, possibly make it to EBC will be great!

Thanks a lot. over 6 years ago

If you have nine days, I would suggest you to stay a few days in Lhasa, then visit Gyantse, Shigatse, Sakya, Tingri, make a day trip to Everest Base Camp and back to Tingri (or stay in EBC if you don't mind doing so...), then head back to Lhasa, it's a total of 9 days (from 18 Feb to 26 Feb).

Yes we do organize tours, but I think it may be better if you email me (you can find our contact on our website), I think it may be against the rule here in this forum to promote your business... over 6 years ago

That's great Kong. I'm actually reading your site right now, feel like I have found my proper answer :) I will keep in touch with you on email so we can prepare for the Tibet trip.

Thanks and wish you all the very best! over 6 years ago
