    Aspirin and tums worked well for us. The train will give you a little more time to adjust, we flew in. almost 9 years ago

    You'll probably adjust naturally as the train gradually climbs in altitude. Drink PLENTY of water (at least 3 litres a day) and take it easy your first days in Lhasa. Spend the first day just wandering in town, maybe visiting the Jokhang Temple and Barkhor Circuit if you are up to it before tackling the Potala Palace (many STEPS!) in the next few days.
