Hi there

My partner and I would like to take a short Yangtze river cruise (2/3 days), but not on one of those big cruise ships with hundreds of people on board. Has anyone done this? I can only seem to find large ships. Is this even an option? Is there another scenic river area in China where cruises in smaller boat tours are offered?
Many thanks

    No idea as yet!!

We arrive in HK in the middle of September with the idea of spending about two weeks in China. We are currently looking into where to visit... i think we will spend most of our time around Guilin and Yangshou. But we are open to suggestions...

It's been a very long time since I've been there, but I hired bicycles and rode from Guilin to Yangshao and then took a small local boat most of the way back. A wonderful experience.

It might not be the Yangtze, but it was a real Chinese River Experience and I'm sure these days there must be loads of local boats doing the same trip over 8 years ago
