I'm wanting to travel to China to attend the Lunar New Year celebrations. I think it would be an awesome experience. I am just curious as to what the weather would be like during that time. Cold and rainy? Snow? etc..

    You really need to do some research and/or be more specific. There is a big difference between the weather in Beining and Shanghai. And there are 'major cities' to the north and south of them. Lunar New Year is during the northern hemisphere winter. There are ice carving festivals - in the streets - in Harbin at this time. If you're in Guangzhou you'll get away with shorts and t shirt most days. over 7 years ago

    as i saw in Jan and feb, it's dam cold and dry in north and slightly warmer in central china, but also rainier. over 7 years ago
