
With the recent bird flu cases in Shanghai. is it safe to visit the country?

Yes. Life goes on ad usual. The flu isn't transmitting between humans, so unless you plan to hang out in poultry markets and slaughterhouses, you're unlikely to contract it. almost 8 years ago

Yes. Chicken has been pulled from pretty much every restaurant, and like ^^this person mentioned, it's not been transmitted human-to-human. You probably won't even notice it's happening. over 7 years ago

The number of cases in relation to the population are still very low. As the others have mentioned, there's no evidence yet to suggest the strain has mutated to a version able to be passed from human-to-human. What worries the authorities is the possibility it will, so keep an eye on media reports.
