Valle Nevado - is the most popular with tourist. Portillo - is for more experienced skiers. La Parva, is the closest to Santiago and tends to attract beginners. Then Colorado and Farallones have a mix. almost 8 years ago

Near Santiago, in Chile, you'll find 5 snow sports centers, with great access and equipment.

Valle Nevado: 44km away from Santiago. It has 39 trails divided in children, begginers, advanced and experts.

El Colorado and Farellones: 2 centers interconnected, 32 km away from Santiago. El Colorado has 70 trails and Farellones has 4.

La Parva: is 38km away from Santiago and it has 24 trails; they offer arrangement to combine its trails with the ones in Valle Nevado.

Portillo: 164 km away from Santiago and it has 35 trails.

They all have great restaurants, hotels and other snow activities besides skiing. almost 8 years ago

    Hi there ,

Just inquiring about how to do snow boarding on the cheap in Chile ?

Can you rent cheap houses there or any where ?

can you buy cheap 2nd hand snow boards etc ?

how long does it take from santiago to the slopes ?
( if we stay there or stay off the mountain , where is good and cheap ? )

If we buy a camper vans or motor home , can we park up on the mountain....

any info at all about doing snow boarding on the cheap would be good

    thank you
