The Calgary tower is fun, beautiful view of the city and the Rockies. Downtown there's a river side park called Princess Island park, nice walking trails down each side of the Bow river. Locals love floating down that river. Also the zoo is fun, and if your I to wilderness Kaninaskis is only an hour away in the Rockies, great camping, and hiking and its mostly free. almost 7 years ago

    Thank you Rusty,
Calgary Tower is really gorgeous, we've been there at the evening. We stop at all our stops but writing on the stones and spent only few hours in Calgary Downtown. I will try what you suggested for the next trip to Calgary )))

Qazaq, next trip to Calgary plan it for summer, early July is the Stampede. The city is packed with people from all over for a massive amusement park, horse and wagon races, and of course the rodeo, like our western roots lol, after all, they call it Cow Town. If the western thing isn't ur style the city centre is full of stuff to do, and in August there's Global Fest, an event showcasing different cultures and each night there's massive fireworks style of the host country. Summer time also see Colloway Park for a good time and also the Botanical Gardens, plants and flowers from all over the globe. Enjoy.
