I will be in Lake Louise in mid October and I want to know what the likelihood is of seeing the Northern Lights?

    Hey Danielle,

    Sure, it's possible... But I certainly wouldn't be counting on it. Aurora Borealis is a cruel mistress, basically the further north you go the better your chances. But at the end of the day it all comes down to solar activity and the adequate amount of darkness. Hell, I saw glimmers of the lights in the Kootenays in July.

    I'd say no, travel further north grande prairie has a fantastic view of the northern lights, best seen in the spring almost 9 years ago
