    For anyone else who needs medical assistance while travelling, make sure you contact the emergency phone number we give you on the top of your policy certificate and in your confirmation email.

    Let us know if you're sick or injured so we can help you when you need it most. We work with a number of 24/7 emergency assistance providers around the world who are there to help you find the best hospital, arrange medical transportation, treatment and more.

    As Yael explained, our customer services team is also there to help, but if it's an emergency (or out of normal office hours), it's best to call our Emergency Assistance teams, so please check your policy documents and give a copy to your friends or family, just in case!

    You might have better luck with getting insurance in Canada as opposed to international one. Canadian insurance companies have better ties with local hospitals and can pay directly to them via direct billing.

    This means you wont have to pay anything when you go to a hospital- just fill out a form and the rest will be covered by the insurance company. It seems better than to pay a few thousand dollars out of your pocket and then wait for reimbursement.
