I would be traveling from the seconfd half of July into the first week of August. The scooter tops out at roughly 32mph (52 km). Can anyone comment on the roads? Can I take a scooter like that on the roads out there? I realize they are major roads but am wondering how frequented they are during that time of year. I prepare to have to ride on the "shoulder" from time to time.

I'm first trying to plan the road logistics and then would love to have any input on things to check out on the way. I'm hopping to camp, both hidden off the roads and in camp grounds, or any cheap hostels on the larger towns.

Thanks!

The road from Vancouver to Port Hardy is all paved highway...except for the waterway between The mainland and the island! LOL Long drive but well worth the trip. about 6 years ago
