No. Canadians don't go to the toilet.
    I'm just joking.
But it is true that public toilets are rare, and those that do exist are often unclean.
but here's a link to a site which lists dozens of toilets available for use by the pubic (in businesses and pubic buildings, but not strictly Public Toilets)
I have found ONE public toilet in Montreal, in Parc Jeanne Mance. Here's a map: http://www.publictoilets.org/gmap?item=111853937dd
Can't vouch for how clean or safe it is. over 9 years ago

If you're downtown, just pop into any mall of the underground city and use their facilities. Any major park will have toilets. Anywhere else, try your luck in a cafe, gas station, or restaurant. There's no such thing as an "unsafe" public toilet unless you stick your hand in the syringe disposal bin. over 9 years ago
