I'm considering a road trip across the country and am wondering if anyone has any festival/event recommendations. It would be between June and October. I have a keen interest in writing, films, and in all genres of music, but any type of recommendation is welcome!

Check out the Edmonton Fringe Festival (Alberta). Big annual event with all sorts of arts & entertainment; suggest doing an online search for more info. Also the Calgary Stampede, if you are interested in rodeos. over 4 years ago

The Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) is right up there with Cannes and Sundance as one of the worlds most important film festivals. It runs September 4-14. Toronto (and most Canadian cities) have festivals running all summer. Do you research wisely so you don't miss out. over 4 years ago

Festival Acadien, in Caraquet (Acadian Peninsula) on the East Coast. People arer very welcoming there and there's also several kilometers of beaches (Miscou) to enjoy and where you can plan an hike on the Island. You can see both sunrise and sunset, so it's awesome! over 3 years ago
