I heard that Porter uses a prop plane. Not sure about air Canada. I want to purchase a 10 ride ticket up front. Thank you for your help

    It depends on what you mean by "better".
    Many people, including me, love the super-friendly service you get from Porter (not to mention their comfortable leather seats, yummy in-flight and lounge snacks, and free drinks on board; plus everyone has lounge access).
    You'll need to consider which Toronto airport is more convenient for you - Porter flies exclusively to the Island Airport, which is very close to downtown. I think Air Canada now has a few flights going there too, although the majority of AC's are to Pearson airport, an expensive cab ride downtown.
    All planes that go into the island are turbo prop planes, which may be a bit louder for your dog.
    I believe both airlines let you take small animals on board with you (in a soft carrier that fits under the seat), but you should double check on each airline's website.
    Air Canada has more frequent flights, but both fly this route several times a day. over 7 years ago
