Good beer bar in Toronto?
I'm looking for a good beer bar/cafe in Toronto. Something with a strong range of local beers and isn't so loud that you can't hold a conversation without shouting. Thanks.

The Biermarkt (yes it's spelt like that) has lots of beer on tap. Bar Volo on Yonge at Wellesley is also good for a wide variety of beer. Finally Beer Bistro on King also has some options! almost 11 years ago

Biermarkt is indeed one of the best; Horseshoe tavern is a bit of an institution as well and though they might have live music everynight you can still find some quiet nook to have a normal conversation. almost 11 years ago

I agree that the Biermarkt is a great place to enjoy local beers as is the Mill St. Brew Pub, which is located in the historic Distillery District and is about 5 minutes east of the Biermarkt on Esplanade. over 9 years ago
