Whale watching, from Granville Islamd, is great. They'd also enjoy wandering around Granville Island. You can also go kayaking from here. Grouse Mountain is good too.
And for eating, I'd suggest the great Vancouver street food: http://traveleater.wordpress.com/vancouver-street-food/ over 6 years ago

Teenage boys or girls? I ask because whereas the girls may like to know where some vintage clothing stores are - the boys might hate those shops. over 6 years ago

Science World is a lot of fun. Hit up Granville Island, and check out Stanley Park (the Vancouver aquarium is there too). over 6 years ago

I believe that the first person meant whale watching from Vancouver Island because the only whale watching you will get on Granville Island is the "ate too many donuts" kind.
My teenagers like China Town. over 6 years ago

Nope, you can go whale watching from Granville Islamd - I did it July 2011. They'll take you on a trip to see seals, eagles, maybe porpoise, and almost for sure orca. If you don't see whales they'll take you again for free. Here is the link : http://www.whalesvancouver.com/ over 6 years ago
