Mount Kidd in Kananaskis park has everything from tent spots to RV hook-ups. Lots to see and do within the property (swimming pool, tennis, bike trails).
Tons of hiking trails for all experiences.

Within Banff National Park there are nice full service camping sites around Banff town and Lake Louise with Lake Louise being more scenic.

If you want something more "primitive" or back country, the possibilities are MANY. It depends on your physical abilities and time available. My experience is the Canadian Rockies measure up to anything Europe or USA has. about 6 years ago

My favourite place in the Canadian Rockies is found in Waterton National Park. Where the prairies meets the mountains. It's remote and quaint. And there are lots of awesome hiking trails. Done all of them and my favorite is a toss up between Lineham Ridge or Alderson-Carthew. Well Crypt Lake was pretty awesome too! Camping at Crandell Mountain site is the nicest but, if you want be to close to town and showers; townsite if the way to go. This place is popular and fills up quickly. about 6 years ago
