I am spending 12 weeks in cambodia -a re there any immunisations I need to be aware of before leaving?
I would suggest you check with a travel doctor as it really depends where you go and if you need malaria tablets. Highly recommend you take lots of tropical strength deet as dengue fever is a real problem and this can't be immunised against. Make sure your tetanus is up to date. We had Hep A and typhoid injections. I also take a medical kit with antibiotics etc. Definitely have travel insurance as if you get hurt you need to get airlifted out - the hospitals and emergency medical treatments are very third world.
Cambodia is a great place. Have fun! about 9 years ago
Make sure you arrange your immunizations a month before you leave, as they will not be as effective if gotten right before you arrive. I would recommend Rabies, Hep A and B, Japanese encephalitis, MMR if you don't already have, and tetanus. almost 9 years agoAnswered by Anna via WorldNomads.com
