Most people's favourite is Ta Phrom which has not been rebuilt and is still shrouded in forest. However go further afield, Boeung Mealea is a huge temple, almost as large as Angkor Wat itself, that is much less touristed and heaving with atmosphere. over 9 years ago

I love Bayon temple because the first moment the faces become clear to you is a really special experience. You can ride a bike around that area and get a great view of the temples from the saddle - it's one of my favorite things to do! over 9 years ago

The best temples to see are Angkor Wat ( of course ), Bayon, Ta Phromn, Banteay Srei and Beng Mealea. If you only wanted to purchase a one day pass, you could see Banteay Srei ( start there because it is about 40km outside of the complex) and then do what's called the mini circuit and in that you will see Angkor Wat, Bayon, Ta Phromn and a few others. If you wanted to see Beng Mealea, it is 70km out of town ( about 1.5 hrs by tuk tuk, it's a lovely drive through the countryside) and you do not need the temple pass to see this, just a $5 entrance fee. You could combine this with a visit to the floating village that is close to Beng Mealea called Kompong Khleng ( it is the least touristy of all the floating villages) over 9 years ago
