I've used http://www.airbnb.com very successfully in Europe. Great service. I had a quick check and there are places in Cambodia. Highly recommended. almost 10 years ago

    Hi Bob,

I just got back from Phnom Penh so asked a couple of mate there how to go about it. They basically said outside of places like airbnb and general Google searches, they found success just walking from agent to agent. I also have a mate up there who is moving out soon, so you might want to contact him - Marc Joyce @Marculous on twitter. almost 10 years ago

As in many places in the world, contacts are critical. Many of the best places will only be advertized by word of mouth. When you stay somewhere ask the people that work there. As Christopher said, you can try to ask x-pats too. over 9 years ago

There are several Khmer online classifieds in English. I know a few realtors that put most of their apartments up on these. http://www.bongthom.com is one place as is http://www.khmer-announces.com. I've done business with Bonna Realty before: http://www.bonnarealty.com/ They always have a large selection. I'm not sure what your budget is, but I am sure they have some things in the couple hundred dollar range. Just be sure to see anything in person first. over 9 years ago

My husband and I lived in Phnom Penh for three years and I've always found the best resource to be the Cambodian Parents' Network Yahoo group. It's not just for parents as it's a resource that goes out to more than 4,000 expats living in Cambodia who share ideas, jobs, places for rent/sale, and many more useful tips about being in the country. Check it out (and join) here: https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/cambodiaparentnetwork/info over 6 years ago
