It's quite safe. We've seldom heard about airplane crash though there's a minor problem in landing recently. about 7 years ago

Just a quick and easy resource on flying in Southeast Asia: http://www.southeastasiatraveladvice.com/2010/05/southeast-asia-air-travel.html

I would not travel with any of the Burmese local air providers, personally. Their fleets tend to be old (recent news story is available on them updating their fleets), their maintenance conditions not at international standard, and I prefer not to evaluate my airlines by how many crashes they've had but the measures they take to prevent them. Flying in and out of the country on reliable carriers is possible, but unless I had a pressing need, I would not choose to fly domestically. about 7 years ago

We flew with Mandalay Air (7 times) in Burma and they seemed proffessional enough. New French/Italian turboprops making several routes every day. You even get the famous chicken or tuna sandwich on longer runs! :D. They tend to land a bit harder then SAS though :) almost 7 years ago

All the domestic flights in Myanmar is safe so far. The domestic airlines are carefully operated so there is no worry for the safety. over 6 years ago
