    It's a high crime and unpredictable place at the moment and most foreign governments urge against all but essential travel. The borders with Mali and Niger are especially dangerous. Pity because Ouagadougou is my favourite name of a capital city - sounds so exotic! almost 7 years ago

    Burkina Faso is a landlocked country in West Africa. It is surrounded by six countries: Mali to the north, Niger to the east, Benin to the southeast, Togo and Ghana to the south, and Côte d'Ivoire to the southwest. almost 7 years ago
