    Sweets are to be avoided: they have little or no access to dentistry, rot teeth and cause health problems. I was with Gap Adventures in Ecuador last year, and the communities there had/have a real thirst for education for their children. I'd suggest educational supplies: notebooks and pencils. over 9 years ago

    I ‘m actually living in Manaus for two years and are in touch with indigenous people. Educational supply is a great idea, they are also happy for some t-shirts. over 9 years ago

    Thats not true at all the majory nowdays do have electricty. A cultural gift from your hometown is always a good choice... For the kids, toys. Do have in mind theyare outside players so bring stuff that go along with that almost 9 years ago

    They like sports t-shirts for sure. And drinking. My sister and her husband lived 2 years at sao Gabriel da cachoeira, world largest indiginous city. I dont recomend bring alchohol. almost 9 years ago
