Has anyone recently been to the Pantanal and can recommend a good tour company I.e. one that supports sustainable tourism and doesn't interfere with the animals insofar to get good photos for the group? Any other tips on visiting the Pantanal very welcome.
Good point about not interfering with the animals, as some companies have been accused of doing. Trying to see jaguars has become popular since the numbers have been increasing in some areas. But those areas are at the end of the transpantaneira highway, so don't expect to see many (if any) from some of the closer lodges. Because of the distance from Cuiaba and the fact that the excursions are done by boat, extensions to that area add quite a bit to the cost. almost 5 years agoAnswered by Jim McDaniel via WorldNomads.com
