Looking for Lively area to stay in Sao Paulo. Exciting nightlife, restaurants, clubs, bars etc. I also don't want to be too far from the tourist areas. Is Rua Augusta a good option?

If you are looking for a place close to almost everything that you want to go. I think it's affordable and is gonna be a good one, but make sure about where exactly is located the place that you'll stay because Rua augusta has different regions and some are not that good. I would recommend you as close as possible Av Paulista/Augusta.

Also, take a look at this hostel( If you want one) close to my work that has a good location.

I agree with Jean, try somewhere as close as possible to Av. Paulista! You can also find good nightlife and restaurants at a neighborhood called "Vila Madalena". It is connected to the subway system but not as central as Av. Paulista. over 4 years ago
