Would love to know if TAM airlines has a lounge (or any other lounge I may have access to) and use during my 20 hour layover en route to Santiago.
I have a disability and it would be nice to take off my leg braces and rest my legs. I do not have a visa so cannot leave the airport. Thanks very much.
Yes, Joe, TAM has it's own lounge in Sao Paulo International Airport (also called "Guarulhos Airport", as it is located not in São Paulo, but in the neighbour city of Guarulhos). Actually, there are other lounges in the airport and one can even buy a day-use voucher for most of them. Take a look at:
American Airlines - US$ 50 - aa.com/admiralsclub
Continental Airlines - US$ 50 - continental.com/web/pt/content/
Delta Airlines - US$ 50 - pt.delta.com/crownrooms/

There is also a capsule hotel inbetween terminals 1 and 2 (you don't need to get out of the disembark area). Their website is http://www.fastsleep.com.br , however, it is only in Portuguese. May be if write to them they will answer in English: http://www.fastsleep.com.br/contato.html about 7 years ago
