The concert at Schonbrunn Palace in the orangery, can be done in a package to include a self guided audio tour of palace & grounds & set dinner if you want. Treat yourself. Went to one in centre of Vienna too. I can't remember where but it was a smaller setting. I shouldn;t worry though, you'll encounter the guys touting tickets in their historical garb all over the place.

It's worth taking in the Vienna Boys choir and if you're into it, a tour of the behind the scenes at the Opera House. It is fascinating. over 6 years ago

My recommendation it would be to buy a ticket to see any opera or ballet at the Opera House. Enjoy Vienna! over 6 years ago

Karlskirche typically has a Mozart Requiem performance not to be missed. It's touristy yes, but a performance of the Strauss repertoire at one of multiple locations is a must, and also see about several other church concerts. Vienna state opera is the ultimate if you can get tickets or if you have the dough to spend. over 6 years ago
