My wife and I have 3 nights in Austria to go skiing. She's a first timer and I've been snowboarding for years. Any suggestions?

Most places in the Tirol region are best for the both Beginners and Intermediates, there are a lot of places to stay, St Anton is great, but for beginners not so great. I think Kitzbhuel would be a better mountain to start on. Does that help? over 9 years ago

If you head south into South Tyrol/Südtirol (Italy) you can find cheaper accomodation and still close to big ski fields.

You can find places near Bressanone/Brixen and Brunico for good prices.

Recently I had visited a resort that is known as Chalet Col du Mont which is situated right next to the slopes of Sainte Foy. This Chalet provides accommodation for 12 people with fully equipped modern amenities and private saunas. I enjoyed the self-catering service and many more things there (Sainte Foy Tarentaise chalet company | Luxury ski in ski out chalet). 6 months ago
