That's late spring in Australia. It will definitely be warm in Pt Douglas around 30 degrees C during the day but it is tropical so it is always a bit humid (the wet season starts in january). So cool summer clothes.
Sydney is further south and consequently a little cooler, tops of about 25 Celcius. But usually with clear blue skies and a gentle nor-easter, definitely beach weather although the water will be cool (16 degrees). You'll need a cardigan or shawl at night time.
Melbourne is further south again and has tops around 20 degrees C and down to about 10 at night. You'll definitely need a jacket at night - however spring in melbourne is magnificent, it really shines in the sunshine. over 6 years ago

You will definitely need an umbrella. Melbourne could be much colder than Port Douglas and you will need sun cream. Don't leave the hotel without putting it on. Sunburn can be very painful, not to say the beginning of sun cancer on your skin. But enjoy, this is a great country. over 5 years ago
