What are the main differences between Thredbo and Perisher for skiing? I am an intermediate skiier and I like more downhill and challenging slopes than easy runs. Thanks!
Go to Thredbo if the snow is good (ie there is snow in Thredbo village). Longer and more challenging runs. Perisher is higher and so when the snow is not great (or weather is warming), it does not get as slushy at the bottom of runs. almost 11 years ago
I prefer Thredbo with its longer runs. However, in poor snow, Thredbo is terrible. Perisher has a benefit in that it is four snow fields linked together by one ticket which gives a greater terrain to explore, but the runs are shorter. As an intermediate skier, you should find satisfying runs in both locations. almost 11 years ago
i've been once and i think it was perisher bby the sound of it and yes the ride is a bit short.
obviously if u're going in the beginning of the season you better go to a higher mountain.
but if you 're in the middle of the season, thredbo would be great then.
personally im going to perisher on the 10,11,12,13 of june (long weekend) about 9 years ago
