Spending a week in Thredbo in September. Any recommendations for the best restaurants ( ie not fast ski food)
want to spend a couple of nights eating good food rather than most of the food i have previously had at the ski fields - any suggestions??

I don't have any stellar recommendations - in general food in the ski fields is pretty mediocre and pretty pricey (ski seasons are short in Australia). Rivers is reasonable in my two experiences of it. For a tasty dish, trout is a good target as it is fresh from a nearby trout farm and a fine eating fish to boot. Good luck in your ventures. over 10 years ago

There are actually heaps of great restaurants in Thredbo village.
Go to Credo http://www.credo.com.au/ if you've got a few $s to spend
another couple to try are the T Bar or Bernti's.
I suggest booking ahead, particularly during school holidays.
And when you're heading back down the mountain, you have to stop into the Wildbrumby Distillery for a very tasty, local schnapps (www.wildbrumby.com/) and Crackenback Cottage for one final meal if you can fit it in. over 10 years ago
