Yes. If you dress properly (i.e. a good full length wetsuit) you'll survive but I'd recommend waiting until the start of summer if you want to do it whilst retaining the feeling in your arms. over 9 years ago

Summer is definitely the best time for canyoning, the water is still rather cold then and you will still need a wetsuit - not much sun gets into the canyons to warm you up again once you get cold. Don't go if it's raining (more than a light shower) either, the water level in a narrow canyon can rise very quickly. But it's lots of fun and there are plenty of canyons to choose from in the blue mountains, for all levels of skill and endurance over 9 years ago

I can vouch for a cool 5 degrees here today. Wait for Spring, its hard to get the chill out of your bones at this time, let alone being wet. over 9 years ago
