    Hey Brandon,
If you're keen on camping, I'd suggest hiring a van and driving the East Coast of Australia. Another option, a little more off the beaten path, is to hire a van in Perth and drive up north towards Broome.
If you're into the party scene, I'd suggest going to Melbourne, not Sydney.

If you want to explore you can either get your own van or there are a few hop on hop off buses. I like the buses as you get to meet other travellers, so meet new friends to have some fun with. I'd definitely book somewhere to stay for the first few nights, and then decide if you're moving on or staying longer. Nomads was a good hostel chain when I was there, they also have vouchers and deals, which can help you save money! (Personally I'd stay clear of Peter Pans, I had problems with them each time I tried to get quotes). almost 4 years ago

    Hi Brandon,

I would definitely recommend staying in a historic Randwick if you are in Sydney. There is a cute restored Victorian mansion, where you can feel the true spirit of Sydney, you can check it out: http://www.avonmoreonthepark.com.au/
Coogee beach is really close - take the Coogee to Bondi walk - and follow the follow the trail in Cennential Park, that could be interesting.

Beside of Sydney, the Great ocean road is a must! In that case, you will need several hotels during the road. over 2 years ago
